Cursor Wednesday

For some people successful photography just comes naturally. For me it's trial and error, with most trials ending in error. Last year I finally ditched the SLR I'd owned for years and bought a spiffy digicam. Though my new Canon was simple and convenient to use - and meant that getting my photos online was even easier than snapping a photo with my finger unwittingly in front of the lense - two weeks after the warranty expired the shutter cover began to malfunction. Aye chihuahua! I'm not smiling. And I won't say, "Cheese."

(This animated cursor is presented at 300% to show detail and to discourage its usage elsewhere. If you decide to use it thus anyway, you'd better take a photograph of your various properties. When the cursor company lawyers get done with you you'll be wanting those photographs so you can remember all the nice things you once owned.)

John Hancock

Just a few days ago I was asked for my autograph. No, the request didn't come from an adoring fan who recognized me on the street, despite my dark sunglasses and fake facial hair. Rather it was needed for possible attachment to a smalll something I designed. That small something was created for a forthcoming endeavor that's being spearheaded by a certain artsy powerhouse of a guy. Said project is, however, his and not mine, so I'm not at liberty to discuss it at this time. And, anyway, I'm digressing like I've never digressed before. To the point, to the point we go!:

Since I'm neither a painter nor a charcoal portraitist nor an urban vandalizer, et cetera, the only thing I ever sign is handwritten correspondence. But that scrawl I put at the bottom is my autograph, and though it's not quite as pretty as Mr. Disney's, it's all mine:

Scream On!

I'd be lying if I said that it wasn't kinda cool to see my work appear in the iTunes Music Store (I made the art, not the music!):

Cursor Wednesday

It was many years ago that I was given the chance to become an axe-grinding superstar. Yet for some strange reason I never went back to class after the second lesson. I had so much time to practice back then. Today I have none. Of course, I should be happy that my life has none of the stress that comes with having to keep on rockin', not being able to stop, to have to keep on rockin', to have to stay on top, and be a juke ... box ... HERO! Ugh, I hate that song.

(This animated cursor is presented at 300% to show detail and to discourage its usage elsewhere. Using the cursor elsewhere could result in cursor company lawyers smashing your financial future into thousands of little pieces, not unlike what Pete Townshend's done to a couple of guitars.)
