if you lived here, you'd be home now

It was a few months ago that I was reminded about my pixelled particiption in Bernd Holzhausen's delighting and inviting IconTown. And then I forgot about it again. And then I remebered again. And here we are today! Though I contributed several structures to the town, I must admit that there are several that I'd now like to see torn down! There are, however, a few which I find tolerable, and these happen to all reside in a quaint, old corner of the town:

1 garden - Years have passed and still no crop!
2 historichaus - I really liked using the word "haus" back then, likely being influenced by Dave Brasgalla
3 etherbrian's haus - Yes, that's an iMac. It's my very first iMac, turned onto its face with a door cut into it.
4 ik's house - "ik" is short for "ikthusian". Some of you know what that means. For those who don't, it was just too long ago for me to explain.

Cursor Wednesday Finale

Yes, my friends, as the title of this post suggests, it's high time the cursors rode away into the sunset. Though there are plenty more graphic pointer thingies you've yet to behold, items both normal and abnormal, this space seems in dire need of a refreshing. Mind you, pixel presentations will persist! They'll just be of a different flavor, a different purpose, and sans the wee arrow in the top left corner. Everybody, jump for joy!

(This animated cursor is presented at 300% to show detail and to discourage its usage elsewhere. Though Cursor Wednesday is no more, the cursor company lawyers live on. Don't use these images elsewhere or you'll find your finances also experiencing a finale.)

Visagetome

After being encouraged to do so, I've made a home for myself at Facebook. It's still a bit new to me, and I'm still trying to sort out the multitudinous preferences, but in time it will all be old hat.

Cursor Wednesday

In the real world, exposure to radiation doesn't do a body good. In the fantastical world of comic books, however, amazing superpowers are a mere sudden, intense irradiation away. Everybody is familar with the fellow who can do whatever a spider can. Everybody also knows the guy who, when miffed, goes green all over and can't keep his shirt on due to amassing muscles that are suddenly shredding it to kite tails. Sadly, the public has never been treated to a hero who one day awoke to find himself posessing powers of funk far beyond those of mortal men. Imagine, if you will, a tall, chiseled George Clintonesque superhumanly supermusician laying down a wah-wah groove of such juggernautish intensity that it could stop the most supervillainous of supervillians dead in his tracks. Just a thought.

(This animated cursor is presented at 300% to show detail and to discourage its usage elsewhere. Failure to leave it be could result in your being stopped dead in your tracks by a legal juggernaut, one with nary a danceable quality.)
